Dane graduated from the University of Alberta with a Co-operative Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2010. Once Dane graduated, he was immediately hired on by GE Capital where he began as an Assistant Account Manager, which included extensive underwriting on transaction sizes between $100M to $5MM for credit profiles ranging from AAA – C in industries from manufacturing to oil & gas. Dane was promoted twice in less than 2 years, first becoming a Lead Rep, in which he succeeded in originating $10MM in business in his first year. Dane was then promoted to Account Manager in Kelowna, BC before leaving this position to pursue a career as a Partner with Dynamic Capital. During his sales tenure with Dynamic Capital Dane originated in excess of $100MM in business across multiple industries, borrowing profiles and asset classes. During this time Dane also chaired the credit committee and adjudicated millions of dollars in credit originated by other Dynamic partners and sales reps. When the COVID pandemic hit, as credit committee chair, Dane took an active role in portfolio and delinquency management which ultimately led to his promotion to Chief Risk Officer in the summer of 2020.
