 As a Lease Servicing Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily activities. You’ll monitor bank accounts, manage ACH collections, perform monthly reconciliations, and execute customer payout requests and contract amendments. This role requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail as responsibilities directly affect the customer experience and financial reporting. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily Operations:
    • Monitor bank accounts daily for returned payments and update leasing software.
    • Accurately enter returned payment journal entries into QuickBooks.
    • Complete tasks on time with high accuracy to avoid discrepancies.
    • Ensure adherence to internal controls, processes, and company policies.
  • Monthly Reconciliation:
    • Perform monthly AR reconciliation.
    • Assist with planning, preparation, and coordination of reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • ACH Collections and Payments:
    • Set up ACH collections/payments for AP invoicing, returned payment collections, and other requirements.
    • Post ad hoc ACH collections journal entries.
    • Post AP payment journal entries.
  • Customer Payouts and Amendments:
    • Prepare payout statements for customers.
    • Execute payouts in leasing software upon receipt of funds.
    • Prepare contract amendments for partial payouts, payment change requests, and other miscellaneous amendments.
    • Post payout and amendment journal entries.
  • Lease and Loan Servicing:
    • Coordinate lease and loan servicing, including contract payouts, amendments, and monthly collections.
    • Ensure deals are booked into Leasespark accurately.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with the CFO, Accounting and Finance team in all areas of day-to-day financial activities.
    • Continually identify opportunities and implement initiatives to improve service to customers.
  • Internal Controls and Processes:
    • Establish, monitor, and document internal controls and processes.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement initiatives.
  • Ad Hoc and Special Projects:
    • Participate in ad hoc and special projects as necessary.

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • In-depth Knowledge of Accounting Principles: Comprehensive understanding of accounting standards, financial practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Organizational Excellence: Superior organizational skills with the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Exceptional Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with outstanding interpersonal abilities.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively with diverse teams and engage with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Detail-Oriented Precision: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, documentation, and all daily tasks.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Prior experience in equipment finance or lease/loan servicing is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is a strong advantage.
  • Experience in equipment finance or lease/loan servicing is an asset.
